“Ouch!”
Isaiah 43:22-28(MSG)
22 -24"But you didn't pay a bit of attention to me, Jacob. You so quickly tired of me, Israel. You wouldn't even bring sheep for offerings in worship. You couldn't be bothered with sacrifices. It wasn't that I asked that much from you. I didn't expect expensive presents. But you didn't even do the minimum— so stingy with me, so closefisted. Yet you haven't been stingy with your sins. You've been plenty generous with them—and I'm fed up.
25"But I, yes I, am the one who takes care of your sins—that's what I do. I don't keep a list of your sins.
26 -28"So, make your case against me. Let's have this out. Make your arguments. Prove you're in the right. Your original ancestor started the sinning, and everyone since has joined in. That's why I had to disqualify the Temple leaders, repudiate Jacob and discredit Israel."
"Ouch"

This word does not apply only to Jacob. We can’t just say to ourselves, “man, couldn’t Israel get this right?” This same scripture applies to our very lives, TODAY.
I am reminded of so many shopping today. How extravagant are their purchases for electronics, clothes, cars and toys. But read verse 23 and 24 with today’s spiritual glasses: are we going all out giving God our best presents? Are we truly giving to the ministry of Christ in the same way with our service, our financial contributions, or our prayers?
Honestly-Would we wake up in the middle of the night and stand in a long line to worship God, to do His service, or to give tithes and offerings to Him? God says in verse 24- you haven’t been stingy with your sins (your actions, thoughts or words). Honestly, would the same effort we place into purchases, parties and festivities this holiday season be able to compare in our hearts to what we give God?
Yet we expect Him to clean up our mess and keep moving because honestly we want to do better. Ouch. The beauty is - He does just that! He doesn’t keep a list of our sins. He blots out our transgressions for His sake (NLT).
Look- We can’t beat God in giving. He gives by forgiveness, mercy, grace and favor! It is infinite love! Verse 26 says to make our case. We know that we would lose even today. Oh, but for the blood of Jesus! We are today, made right with God. Hallelujah!!!!!!!
Prayer
Father in the name of Jesus; today’s word was truthful yet it may have stepped on our toes. Thank you that even today, your Word stands true. Just searching the scriptures shows us that you know us so well. You knew our shortcomings before we did. Thank you for your forgiveness. Thank you for not remembering our sins and our shame. Thank you for your Son, Jesus. Keep us focused on you this season- truly focused. Skim away from our thoughts the cliché’s that the world uses about Jesus. Make it real and beautiful inside of us. We love you –there is none other like you. Amen.

He Is On the Throne
Isaiah 43:10-13 (NLT)
10 “But you are my witnesses, O Israel!” says the Lord. “You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God— there never has been, and there never will be. 11 I, yes I, am the Lord, and there is no other Savior. 12 First I predicted your rescue, and then I saved you and proclaimed it to the world. No foreign god has ever done this. You are witnesses that I am the only God,” says the Lord. 13 “From eternity to eternity I am God. No one can snatch anyone out of my hand. No one can undo what I have done.”
He Is On the Throne
What an awesome Monday morning! If you did not get a chance to read Friday’s daily word, I urge you to do so! God’s love letter was powerful, if you follow the instructions. Today’s devotional picks up in that same chapter, Isaiah 43. God is reminding the Israelites, our ancestors, of who He is and what He has done.
As you really read this passage and allow it to get in your spirit today, think of what the Lord is saying.
Listen, God is saying I have saved you, I am alone God, and this will NEVER change. He says that no one can change what He has done. He is just that amazing!
This is God’s reminder to you, His baby. Imagine you reminding your child of all that you have been to them until this day. Think of all the sacrifices you have made as a father or a mother. Perhaps you are a big sister, an uncle, etc. Think of how you cared for your family member.
That is God’s position today! He is recalling His place in your life. He is reminding you of His sovereignty.
Let’s begin this week with God in the driver seat, thanking Him for His rightful place on the throne.
Pray With Me
Father, this morning we exalt you! We acknowledge your place on the throne. You sit high above the heavens and all of the earth. Daily, you remind us of your power and your presence-forgive us for taking it for granted. Forgive us for allowing life to drown out the importance of your amazing grace. I ask that your grace be with me and with so many around the world who are worshipping you. May your grace and living witness touch those near and far that struggle with sickness, disease, poverty, handicapped conditions, and daily life threatening danger. No one can out do your good works! As we give thanks for this day, may your power and light be hard to contain as it pours out of us into our workplace, our homes and in our communities. In your name, Jesus- we agree- Amen.

Don’t Get Too Busy
Hebrews 2
1 -4It's crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we've heard so that we don't drift off. If the old message delivered by the angels was valid and nobody got away with anything, do you think we can risk neglecting this latest message, this magnificent salvation? First of all, it was delivered in person by the Master, then accurately passed on to us by those who heard it from him. All the while God was validating it with gifts through the Holy Spirit, all sorts of signs and miracles, as he saw fit. (MSG)
Between your Blackberry, IPhone, PC Internet, Twitter and Facebook, it seems that you are always bogged down with daily social context. “I am always on the run, Minister. I wish I had a few minutes to read devotion (spend time with God).” Really- consider your position. The word (above) says we can’t risk neglecting His message.
For many of us – this Daily Word will be the only chance we have today- to get close to God. He wants us to draw close to Him, more than ANYTHING else that we do. Did you grasp that? More than your children, your careers, your dreams, your relationships; God wants you FIRST. Jesus wants you to understand the plan of salvation and living to the fullest- His way.
I have been sent to reach out to you. I have gotten amazing testimonies and affirming responses that have helped many get through their day-even their week. Admittedly, I am not a technological “buff.” But God told me to bring the daily word to you. Some of you get two and three email messages. All I can say is, “my bad.” Until I get the right equipping, I will do this until He tells me to stop.
I write the messages that I send out to you-daily. Like fresh bread made in the bakery. Like fresh bread that is the daily Living Word of God.
-For some of you, this is another avenue to spend time with God, because you already have a daily devotional regimen. Amen.
-For some of you, it may be meant for you to pass this on. Amen. Please do.
-For some, this has been a huge source of inspiration. Thank God that it’s working for you.
God wants to get you however He can. I am grateful that this is a tool.
Please find a few minutes in your day – after all- God has reserved eternity for you.

First Time

I am raising the bar. Here I am looking at a blog page not knowing what to do next. All I know is that I want people from every walk of life, regardless of their past- to know that God is where you are-right now.

I want to use this site to pray with others, and talk with others about where they are in their life. If they are enduring pain and confusion, I want to be there. If they want to celebrate life's triumphs with the world, I want to be there. I am led to use this amazing cyber tool to get connected with all of you- around the world.

I will post daily word messages that I send out to other recipients and eventually put the messages on video.

Wow! His Heart is big. This is from His Heart 2 yours!
